Board Game Arena

I know there are tutorials, but watching a video doesn't exactly translate to knowing the game. At least for me. It does instill me with a naive sort of confidence that I understand how the game works, but in actuality my brain is a blank slate. Kind of like studying for a test when you haven't paid attention all semester. Or am I the only one who did that? Anyhow, if there's anyone who'd be willing to occasionally to sit through my painful baby steps of learning a game, that would be great. Heck, is there a game you want to learn? I can learn it with you. I just don't enjoy the pressure of playing with people who actually want the challenge of playing against hardcore gamers only to be disappointed by a schlub like me. Interested? Well, did I mention I'm very sarcastic and sometimes said sarcasm doesn't translate very well online? I didn't? Well, still interested? Feel free to message me. Or reply on here. Or hunt me down "The Most Dangerous Game" style. I don't know. I'm very tired.

I literally came to the forum to see if anybody was doing that! I am also the type of person that learns by doing! I recently just jumped into a photosynthesis Game, having no clue whatsoever what I was doing, and got absolutely destroyed, but also still didn’t figure out what I was doing lol

I do this a LOT *laughs*

Feel free to send me a message if you want someone else who 'learns by playing'. (I watch videos for some games but some have a lot of bits and pieces that aren't covered in videos or maybe I'm not watching the correct videos? )

With the exception of the "talkative/friendly" one, these seem to be dead. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but the oinks no activity in months.

Good ideas, though.

For someone who has just joined BGA and working through a A to Z learn new games online challenge it would be great to have a feature where you could choose learning so others who are learning or experienced and happy to assist could join!

I am irrationally scared to play this one too! Even though I played a few turn-based games of Ark Nova already. I feel I'm bad at it but we could play it one day if you'd like
