Solo Variant?

The Space Base rulebook Includes a fun solitaire variant but BGA requires a minimum of 2 players. Sometimes I want to play a relaxing solo game instead. Could a solo option be added? There are solitaire games on BGA.

Recently bought a copy of this game and I don't see any Solo version in the rule book. Also looked at the more extensive rule book online @ BGA (30+ pages - the one in my game is only 12 pages) and don't see any mention of a Solo version.
There are several Solo versions on BGG so perhaps this is what you're referring to?

I don't see any solo variant in the rule book of the game I have either.
