I think those are good games to transition the casual crowd over to the more 'medium' games crowd

BoardGameArena would love to have them. The companies that own the rights believe that they can continue to sell them just fine without allowing BoardGameArena to feature them on the site. They are probably correct.

To expand on this, because Edwin seems new and may have not come across all the other "why isn't xxx game on here" threads: each game on BGA requires the rights holder of that game to agree to have it hosted here. BGA can't just put it on here unilaterally to attract users. As Kayvon pointed out, the Risk / scrabble/ Monopoly rights holders don't need BGA to promote their game. In fact, they may see a downside to having on here. They are unlikely to make anywhere near as much from their share of premium subs (assuming they would be premium) as they do from just selling like they always have for decades. And they may also perceive that having it on here would cannibalize sales of physical copies.

Of course they have.

Yet another reason why they might not want it on here. They'd basically be competing against their own app.
