Could it be made easier on the game board to see whether normal or professional mode is in effect? Perhaps with arrows or highlights on the ends where it is possible to play?

Although don't usually find this an issue because I mostly play tournaments. What you can do if you're playing a lot.of simul games is write a note to yourself

Totally agree, it would be great if there was a way to distinguish the professional version without having to go to the game settings every time to check.

Btw, there exists a suggestion to separate normal and professional version, see https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=13610 - there is a discussion and not everybody wants a separate professional game. Someone suggested instead:“ The main game screen should identify clearly which game you are playing.“ maybe that’s a point similar to your suggestion. So you may take a look at this suggestion.
