Board Game Arena

I appreciate the effort it takes to to get the graphics and programming rules right in order to get the game into beta. However...

I'm very confused. The only rules provided are from an outside source, and there are like six different instances of "some people play this rule" and two instances of "players need to agree on how to score this thing." There are some instances of how to score in the Table Configuration portion of the Play page here on BGA, but the descriptions are too brief and – at a minimum - somewhat unclear.

I don't think I will try the game until there is a list of BGA Golf rules actually posted in the "Game rules" section.

Thanks for making the game, though. I look forward to playing it after the rules are posted.

I've updated the rules in the wiki page based on the recent tutorial.

I still find the rules confusing, because I just had someone end the whole round without going a single turn or picking cards just to make me eat my points and I've never EVER played with that kind of rule in place

I wish you would eliminate “Close Round” in Arena. Completely ruins the game. There are a couple of players who just use this constantly, completely eliminating any strategy.

Regarding the instantly Close Round "Rule" this is clearly not how the game is intended to be played. I spoke to the developer, however, they were unable to interpret clearly written English and refused to change the wrong rules implementation.

That does not sound ideal. Too bad … I saw “Golf” and thought it might be something I’d want to try. I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer.

Any other golf games on BGA?

If you wanted to suggest a rule change, then you should have filed a suggestion, obviously.

Removed that particular rule in card power games.
