Plan and build a modern, scientifically managed zoo to support conservation projects!
With more than 20 awards won all over the world, there was just a matter of time to see Ark Nova join the Board Game Arena platform. And today we're really proud to say it's officially its release day!

In Ark Nova, you will plan and design a modern, scientifically managed zoo. With the ultimate goal of owning the most successful zoological establishment, you will build enclosures, accommodate animals, and support conservation projects all over the world. Specialists and unique buildings will help you in achieving this goal.

Each player has a set of five action cards to manage their gameplay, and the power of an action is determined by the slot the card currently occupies. The cards in question are:

CARDS: Allows you to gain new zoo cards (animals, sponsors, and conservation project cards).
BUILD: Allows you to build standard or special enclosures, kiosks, and pavilions.
ANIMALS: Allows you to accommodate animals in your zoo.
ASSOCIATION: Allows your association workers to carry out different tasks.
SPONSORS: Allows you to play a sponsor card in your zoo or to raise money.

255 cards featuring animals, specialists, special enclosures, and conservation projects, each with a special ability, are at the heart of Ark Nova. Use them to increase the appeal and scientific reputation of your zoo and collect conservation points.

It's a serious game with a lot of depth, and you can reach its page and play it by clicking this link below:

The game has been played a lot of time during the Alpha and Beta version, and we would love to thanks Tisaac and vincentt for their huge achievement by porting this game to Board Game Arena. You two rules.

We also have to mention the publisher, Feuerland Spiele, and the game designer Mathias Wigge for their authorization and work to bring the game online for all of you to enjoy.

We're more than happy to see this game online, and being able to see people enjoy it as much as we do is our reward.
So that's it for today,

Take care and play fair,
and see you next week for another WRT (Wednesday Release Time) on Board Game Arena!

I also want to thanks GTSchemer that was our rules expert during developpment, he was a great help to have by our side. He is also an official maintainer of the game so you might encounter him on the bug reports system.

About bugs, with more than 80 000 games played, it is VERY UNLIKELY that any rules bug remain. So if you see something that seems wrong (in term of rules), please double check the rulebook, then check the FAQ in the bug report system, and then only post a bug report WITH RELEVANT INFORMATIONS : table number, move number, screenshot, ...
Over the past week since the game reached beta, we had 90% of notabug reports, despite having several in-game helpers/reminder.

I have never played the game. Having said that, it's great that such a big title hits BGA. Knowing the previous work of the developers, I'm pretty confident the implemenation here is top notch. So big cheers to them!

Awesome! Can't wait to play!

Out of curiosity, how many hours would you guess that you guys worked on this? It seems like a huge undertaking.

Thank you for the kind words Tisaac.

The FAQ can be seen here: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=86536

Ark Nova is a complex game, so there are lots of rules to study. Good luck!

No need to guess, we know we spent around 400h on this one, not including the powerful Engine system we already built over Agricola, Barrage and Caverna.

I just want to say thank you for bringing this to BGA! I appreciate all the hard work that went in to making this game come to life. I played quite a few games of it while in Alpha and this final product is a great implementation all the way around!! Job well done!
