Could we have an option to choose a random map when we start game. Theres a variant in physical game where you two maps and pick one or even just the option to get a random map.
Both are already implementedProfessorDax wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 12:09 Could we have an option to choose a random map when we start game. Theres a variant in physical game where you two maps and pick one or even just the option to get a random map.
Publisher said no for the momentMasterMystery wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 18:35 I would like to see one more starting variant: that you select the map when you already see your cards. Could be fun and if there are really weaker maps (there should be quite some data on BGA soon) people won't always select the same one and it may make an actual information based decision on which plan rather than just selecting the one you like more, is stronger in a vacuum or the one you havent played in a while?
What you guys think? this may be an extra option when you need to select the map.
(not sure how easy such a timing is to implement)
(like bit similar like you select corp together with cards, preludes, colonies etc in terraforming)

That's up to the publisher to decide, they are the only ones that can ask for access to all the stats data and compute stuff on it. This is not automatic and not an easy process.MasterMystery wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 19:43ah ok interessting that designer says it makes sense to on bgg. p.s.: is there a possibility to to see win/play rates per map (in like a month, once alpha and bug parts don't skew the data anymore?)
