resurrecting deleted game

Post by dianevely »

I am attempting to start an implementation of 42, a public domain domino game. When I went to create the game I got an error code: "Project fortytwo existed and has been deleted. You are not an admin of this project so you cannot reactivate it." I have attached a screen shot of the full message.

I know nothing of this previous implementation (who/what/when) so I don't know how to get involved with it. Is there some way that I can gain access to the code to see whether this is even the game I'm trying to implement?

Thanks!

I don’t think you can see the code since the game doesn't exist anymore.

But you can choose another name (or add prefix/suffix to it).

I don't recommend implementing games with fixed partnership for different reasons:
- BGA ELO for competitive team games is broken
- BGA cannot prevent team members from colluding with each other, like Tichu or Spades

If you are willing to implement the game despite these issues, then you can do it easily.
Just create another project with a different name and complete the implementation, then request the game's release and ask the admin to change the project name by replying to the ticket you sent.
