Behaviour when moving animals from other cages to reptile/bird house

I experienced the following situation:

I placed a Reptile size 2 in a size 5 building, planning to move it later. Later I placed a size two primate animal in a size 2 building.
Then I built the Reptile house and the game allowed me to move the existing Reptile to it, but i could only free the size 2 building, not the size 5 building where i did place it (i think this was because the Reptile was a size 2 only).

In a real-world game, i would always free the size 5 building where the Reptile went into originally.

Is this a bug?

Not a bug, direct from the rules;

"For each animal you move, find the smallest occupied standard
enclosure that meets all of the animal’s enclosure requirements
(including water and rock spaces), and flip it back to its empty
side. In the rare case there is no such enclosure, flip the smallest
occupied standard enclosure that meets at least the animal’s
enclosure size requirement."

The game has no "memory" of which animal was played into each enclosure

When building a reptile house, surely I should be able to move in all the reptiles already in the zoo (that have room there)? Unfortunately, in my game I could only let one reptile move in, then the game just let me pass. I wonder now ,was it a user error on my part or is it a bug?

That would be user error. The Pass button is always there (even if you haven't moved anything) as you might not want to. Each animal has to be moved one at a time and only click the pass button once you have resolved all the moves you want.

I just have to click on the reptile card, then the enclosures to be emptied are displayed and I have to confirm the move?
However, I could not click or confirm any other cards. I had four reptiles that should move in, only one was possible

Remember that reptile house need to be adjacent to water and rocks if you want to move reptiles with such requirements

Ah now I realize my mistake, I was not aware that the reptile house has to be just as close to water and/or rocks as the standard enclosures are.
Thank you very much!
