See discarded cards?

Is there any way to see which cards have been discarded (at least the last one)?
But you're right that the default in the rules is face-up. So why might the face-down option be used on BGA? One good reason would be for ease of implementation and speed of play. If you had a face-up discard pile, you'd have to specify the card on top when discarding multiple cards, slowing down the game slightly. But more impactful is that discarding during break can no longer be simultaneous, which can potentially slow down the game significantly (I personally hate waiting in turn-based games for those kind of minor decisions).A face-up discard pile is easier to distinguish from the other card piles. This prevents you from unintentionally drawing the wrong card type. Of course, you can keep the discard pile face down, if you prefer.
The reason is exactly the last item. We of course discussed that with publisher during developpement and they said that ideally the face down discard was better in their opinion, as long as the card names are logged on the right when player is discarding cards from display, which is the case hereArtEntre wrote: ↑24 February 2024, 03:00 (This is just my opinion...)

And then when you consider the face-up discard is primarily so players don't confuse it with the draw pile, which isn't an issue with a digital implementation, face-down looks like the better decision to me.
That is incorrect. You can only see the details of what you discards. For all other players, it simply says "ABC has discarded X cards".
This is wrong then. You should always see what someone discards. This is a crucial part of strategy.greenjacket124 wrote: ↑26 February 2024, 23:17That is incorrect. You can only see the details of what you discards. For all other players, it simply says "ABC has discarded X cards".

Someone who has played in tournaments for over 10 years (and won). This is how it is done on all other online platforms. And just general common sense. In real life games you also inevitably see what and how many is discarded.greenjacket124 wrote: ↑27 February 2024, 16:12Says who?Stroom wrote: ↑27 February 2024, 06:31This is wrong then.
