Board Game Arena

We've just started our summer season 6 Nimmt competition. We play 3 games of 5-player/Tactics/Pro each Sunday starting at 7pm UTC.

Each game, players gain 1-5 points according to their position at the end of the game (5 points for first). We will count their best 2, of the latest 3 weeks, and ignore their worst week. Scores 4 weeks previous or older are no longer considered for ranking.

This format should allow a constant shuffling of the lead positions. It also allows a player to miss a week and still be competitive. Our group page is here https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=11498855

Not everyone can play each week, so there is a weekly sign-up. If you want to play, sign up by joining this page https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=12775531 Each week I will assign these players to tables, then I'll expel all the players from this page, and we will use it again to sign up the following week.

The chart below shows the first week's results. Besides the player's rank, it also shows the # of weeks a player is ranked in the top 10, the top 5, and first place. It only takes 2 weeks to get to first place

There are some ties in the ranking. In future weeks, these ties will be broken by whoever had the best week most recently.

Congrats to Katya and Sushi for being in first place. Note: Shane only played 1 game, but because he won it, he made the top 20. We have a number of players not listed here, but I decided to only list the top 20.

Each week the top 5 players will be assigned to play against each other, then players 6-10 at the next table, and so on.

Top 20 players after 2 weeks of play.

Carlis is the first player to win all 3 games. With 15 points gained this week, she will be a top contender for the next few weeks.
Katya scored 14. That's an amazing 2 weeks in a row, earning her such a solid 1st place she will most likely keep it next week too.
Sushi managed to hold onto 2nd place. She is one of the few people within range of taking the top spot.
Rosanne and Waterlily also had strong scores this week, scoring 13 and 12 points respectively.
Tony and Nina are scoring consistent enough to have a seat at the top table.
Note that Spur and Neko are tied for 6th place. Other ties are broken by who has done better on the most recent week.

Thank you all for playing. Some of our regulars have been on vacations or just busy. This would be a good time to get a few more recruits. I encourage anyone who is interested to message me, or just sign up. I do want to restrict it to players with 200 or more ELO.

Top 20 players after 3 weeks of play.

Katya had her 3rd amazing week in a row. She is dominating the league, and will most likely be in the lead next week as well.
Wreckage scored 14 points and moved from 10th up to 2nd place.
MrPopo moved into the 3rd position scoring 12.
SourisNeko and Ludentotten both scored 12 points as well.
Carlis made it into the top 5, mostly due to her 15 points on week 2. So far, it’s the only perfect week by anyone.

Wreckage scored a perfect 15 points, relieving Katya’s burden of being in first place every week.
Rosanne had the second best score of 13, and grabbed 3rd place.
TuTimi and Lily23 also had a good week gaining 12 points each.

There was some confusion at the Iron table. With several players not showing up, and others new to our group.
They ended up only playing 2 games instead of 3. Crismates, who is joining us for the first time, got 1st and 2nd
in the first two games, and would be headed to the top of the charts had they played a 3rd game. It’s unfortunate
the 3rd game wasn’t played. I gave 1 point to each of those players which is the minimum they could get in the
3rd game, but undoubtedly they would have gained more.

SourisNeko led the gold table, gaining 12 points, while his opponents only gained 8-9 points each.
So some seats at the gold table are likely up for grabs the next couple weeks.
Lily23 was among the top scorers again with another 12 points, and she takes the #2 spot. Well done.
Waterlily blooms and Mysterymister both scored 14 points, setting each of them up as possible leaders the next couple weeks.
Cheval-raye and Marples round out the other top scorers this week with 11 points each.
We had several no-show players this week. I’m not sure what to do about that.

Ludentotten and Katya led the gold table with 12 points each, and yet Ludentotten got bumped down to 6th place.
TuTimi gained 11 points on the bronze table. Paired with her 12 points from two weeks ago it’s enough to move into 3rd.
Spur had a great week on the silver table with 14 points, passing everyone on the gold table and grabbing 1st place.
Katya is the only player to keep a spot on the gold table every week. Now at 5th place, can she keep holding on?
The remaining double digit score of 11 points was by Teci. After being away for 2 weeks, welcome back.

Spur won 12 points this week on the gold table, keeping his first place status.
Lily scored 11 points, keeping second place again this week.
Tony was the top player of the week with 14 points, which moved him up to third place.
Katya scored 10, and remains the most consistent player to remain in the top 5.
Our number of players was really low this week. Time to do some recruiting.

Spur scored a respectable 11 points, but that’s not enough to maintain the top spot continually.
However his previous scores are strong enough to stay there for the third week in a row.
TuTimi also scored 11 points, earning her a seat at the gold table.
Simorgh, one of our old regulars, showed up to score 11 points as well.
Wreckage scored 14 points, denied a rare perfect week by piggy in the last game.
Ludentotten gained 13 points including 1 tie for first with Tony, enough to move up into 2nd place.
Mahpa hasn’t joined us since the Spring league, but he scored the third highest this week with 12 points.

Tony led the gold table and is only in second place by a tiebreaker.
Tutimi, with a strong score of 11 points kept her position in the top 5.
Wreckage won the silver table, regaining the top spot.
Waterlily, also doing well on the silver, moved up to the gold table.
Bronze table scores were very even. Piggy was the leader with 11 points.

Top 20 players after 10 weeks of play.


The gold table was somewhat balanced with only TuTimi doing exceptionally well.
Tony had the second best score of 10 behind, TuTimi’s 12 points.
The silver table scores were much more spread out.
Katya and Sushi Corissa both gained 13 points
Cheval_raye was third in that group with a respectable 10 points.

Our numbers are really low with only 10 players playing this week.
I hope we get back up to 30+ again as we go into autumn.
Having teams seems to be more popular than individuals competitions.
