Hi fellow translators and tutorial creators,

I think I've noticed a bug for translations in tutorials.

See this example of the tutorial for A Fistful of Gold:

Most of the text is translated (into German), but not the last sentence.
As far as I understand it is because of the text "If you're the first to play a 6..." is an exact copy of text used in the category "Context: Material".
Apparently BGA considers the text a duplicate and doesn't show it as text for tutorial. But it also doesn't use the translation from Material in the tutorial.

I've noticed this in 2 tutorials so far: "A Fistful of Gold" and "Verona Twist".

I hope BGA fixes this bug. But until then I think tutorial creators can avoid encountering this by NOT using a copy of a translated text in tutorial.

And for a quick workaround, please contact the tutorial creators. Their names are normally mentions at the start of the tutorial. You can find their profiles using the search function at https://boardgamearena.com/community (and then, on their profile page, our find a button to send them a message).

Why did you open a new thread? Isn't this the same problem you described here: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30684? It might be not 100% the same, but close enough, I think.

I opened a new thread because this is another problem

This bug is about a string that is a copy from a text in the game, which is not in the tutorial section. -> Nothing gets translated.

The one you are referring to is about 2 texts both in tutorial section where one is a substring of another. -> Only the substring gets translated.

Apparently I haven't managed to get that across
