Bruno's Variate is off why does it keep loading?

I have it off when I invite a single player to a table. But then repeatedly without my choosing I end up in a tournament.

I see that you are playing Arena games. Those are the Arena settings for this season, so it's not clear to me if you are trying to override the Arena settings or are asking a different question about Simple Game set-up.
