GPL images OK?

Hello all,

I'm a new BGA dev developing chess as an exercise. Seeing how chess is slightly out of copyright and there is no existing art from the publisher (haha), I'm currently using GPLd board pieces from GNU Xboard. Is this OK? As far as I know, this is fine as I'm not modifying the images in any way.

Thanks,

Hello,

You should look at the licence of the graphics (GPL is for the code I think).

The graphics can be attributed in the "artist" section, so this is not a problem, and the usage on BGA is non-commercial. So all "Creative Commons" compatible licences should be right. I'm not a lawyer although...

Cheers,
