appeal/conservation track disappear...

... mid to late-game when playing ark nova on BGA? I am trying to understand when/why this seems to occur. Does it herald approach end of game?? I cant seem to find the answer in the rule-book... Thanks in advance!

you may need to elaborate...
Nothing disappears. The track is only visible if you click the double icons. (looks like the outline of a shield (conservation icon) and a ticker tape (appeal icon)).
The stats are always visible in the player panels.

I think they're probably talking about the conservation track section that goes up to 10. That is there to more easily show the bonuses/actions that occur as you move up the track, but there aren't any after 10, so once everyone leaves that section (gets to 11 or higher), it gets removed to make the display less cluttered.

The settings menu also has options to make it never show, always show, or only show if your own conservation is less than 11.

It looks like this:
