Sorry: beginner's question.
As a spectator the majority of all games is proceeding too fast and often information remains hidden.

In order to learn I'd need to adapt the speed of recorded moves to a learning pace and also to get a look on normally hidden information, e.g., the hands of all players

Is there a way to watch (even: finished) games step by step?

When clicking the replay button on a finished game you should be able to view the moves step by step. You need to choose a player beforehand though, so if you want to understand both players' moves you would need to watch the game twice from both point of views (that is for a 2 player game.)

Yeah, it's only working with the finished game.

Have you tried to watch tutorials? They are offered for most of the games on BGA. In a tutorial, you go step by step through a game, watching from a players perspective. At the same time it is explained to you and often you can do the required actions yourself.

To find a tutorial, go to the page of the game you want to learn, for example https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?ga ... ofburgundy. There is a white button on the left side, offering you to choose between "learn, play, arena, tournament". Click on "learn", then click on the blue button on the right side which leads you to the tutorial. (In the rare case the game has no tutorial yet, the blue button says "read the rules" instead.)

Tutorials: yes, I know and watched some: many are very good for learning but they are not so much about strategy

Only finished games: good to know and perfect - I'll check it out, also the tip to chose a player's perspective.

Actually incorporating strategies in detail is not recommended as the purpose of BGA tutorials is teaching rules and UI, not strategies.
