Can you play the same assoc action twice per round?

I understand from rules and from other people that you should be able to play the same assoc action twice per round (not per turn!) if you have all the required conditions for it.

I had a game where I should have been able to take a partner zoo but couldn't (the option was not available in the bar and the unviersities were not clickable), and I just had a game where I should have been able to do convservation action but couldn't, it just wasn't available in the bar at the top where it has one button person assoc-action.

I just had a quick search and note this topic ( https://boardgamearena.com/forum/postin ... ly&t=31295 ) with exactly the same issue, so perhaps this is a bug, but posting this to make sure that I've understood that this _should_ be possible.

TIA!

Yep you can. But a lot a valid reason could prevent you from doing that, like not having enough workers for instance (you need 2 instead of 1 as explained in the rulebook and displayed on the board)

Ah, yes. I was confused about the same thing, but then found this in the rules:
To carry out an association task, you need at least 1 active
association worker on the notepad of your zoo map. Place
this worker on the Association board on the task you want
to perform. If 1 of your association workers is already on this
task, you must instead place 2 to perform this task

I just played a game where I had enough association workers and enough action points as well. But the system on BGA only allowed for a single play of the association. So I'm wondering if this is a quirk of BGA instead of the game rules itself.

Table number and move number? There's also a couple possibilities here, like you not having an upgraded Association card so can only have two partner zoos or not having an upgraded Cards action so your reputation is capped at 9.

You are probably confusing two things here : the OP question is about "round", not turn. You can NEVER take two same assoc task with the same action card activation, because it's clearly written on the action card.
But you might do it in two different turns.

And there's a subtlety there that the x2 token is one turn but two activations, so you can use it to do the same association action twice. This is particularly relevant for the map which has a x2 placement bonus: with that map you typically want to go into the final break with the "Place a size 2 enclosure" CP bonus unlocked, get the x2 token during the break income and place it on Association, and then do two big CPs for a big finishing turn.
