In endgame stats, why do we have resources collected but not resources generated?

In endgame stats, why do we have resources collected but not resources generated?

Currently in the end game stats, only essences that are collected off of a card are counted, excluding essences that are generated without ever having been placed on a card. In my opinion essences generated is much more interesting than essences collected, so it's strange that essences generated isn't represented in the final stats.
