Ban Silver Lake

Hi, the map Silver Lake is too strong compared with other maps. Is it possible to ban this map when setting the game.

It really brings bad experiences to players when the one plays silver lake starts very fast and ends the game with the skill determination, or when others against silver lake quit the game because there is no chance to win silver lake.

you can already do that in the "advanced options". there you can activated or deactivate certain maps

I have the opposite problem. I very, very rarely win with Silver Lake (maybe like once or twice) because I feel like my engine starts too slow. My experience with it is that the determination skill is needed to balance the map, but I still struggle every time I get it. I much prefer the +2 enclosure map.

Silver Lake has great snowball potential, make sure to really utilize all the money around the lake. You can often build for free in the early game. Also, the 2 reputation on the ground is very strong. On top of that, certain sponsors are absolutely broken on this map, most notably Archaeologist (autowin if you have this in your starting hand, you can easily get to 8+ reputation before the first break) and to a lesser degree Hydrologist. If you find one of these two, try to abuse them as much as possible.

For OP, I'd just advise to play the same-map mode, because Silver Lake is indeed just too overpowered. If your opponent gets it and you don't, you are already significantly behind.

If you are in the main lobby, where you see all your favorite games, click on the settings cog wheel next to Ark Nova. All your advanced options are there. I'm not sure how this works in terms of players' maps though, since you don't select the map until AFTER the game starts. Maybe Map 3 won't show up as on option?

This will have no effect. This option is only used for the "same map" option.
So you are just going to make sure you arent joining a table with "same map: silver lake", nothing more.

You forgot to mention the double turn bonus which is also on this already OP map: it gives you the edge on the end with double point turns or similar.
