Honestly, there’s no reason that simultaneous deciphering couldn’t be done in every round. Have both teams decipher the lists and then show results after both lists are finished

I agree. Maybe, you can create a suggestion at https://boardgamearena.com/bugs (just use any of your last games, so that it gets related to Decrypto), so others can vote for it and it may get attention to the developer.

Bumping this. The game moves very, very slowly. Lots of waiting on other players when you could be working at the same time!
