Help! Why can't I get a Golden temple tile?

I just tried to get a Golden temple tile. It says it costs "1 coin, 2 tablets, 1 jewel, 1 compass, 1 arrowhead". I have all of the requirements except for the jewel, but I used the artifact "Idol of Ara-Anu" card which says "Research with a discount of [a jewel]". When I chose the Golden temple tile, it said "Not enough tablet". But I have two tablets!
