Over 20 points?

Post by jkekoni »

Scoring over 20?

I think I should have scored 21, but apparently it ends counting at 20.

I asume this is a feature, but would it be nice it would count as many as would get?

You only get 20 tokens to score points, so you only get to score 20 total. If you have 1 token left and you make a 6 points move you'll only get 1 point and end the game. And the goal is to make the points faster than the other, so in the end is a race to 20, not a "higher score" game. Hope it helps.

I know. It is not sufficient reason not to count them.

The actual board game IRL only have 20 tokens per player. So yes, I guess is one of the main reasons the game doesn't count over 20.

Yeah I wholly disagree with this. The point of BGA is to replicate physical board games online. If the game has 20 tokens and the goal is to spend all 20 tokens, then your score should never go above 20. The fact that a score even has to exist at all is imposed on developers by the BGA framework - not all games have scores (e.g. Nova Luna). Just think of it as a count of your tokens used.
