Is there any way you can know before joining a game it will be slow painful *?

Multiple times in the last few weeks - a game here and there are awful - 45 seconds to acknowledge actions - 1g fios so it's not me.

server painfully slow for me this afternoon too. 10-15 seconds wait for each move. It was fine a few hours ago. But this slowness seems to be happening every day now.
