I've only played a couple of times, and the last time I got hit with the timer multiple times, and I don't like the karma ding. It really felt like it wasn't enough time to check the table and make a decision. Was it intended to be this brief?

The time limit is automatically adjusted according to the average time spent.
Unless the game does not add extra time after each turn (not each action necessarily) due to a bug, you are playing slower than the average players.

That game was set to "fast speed". So either that's too fast for you and you should stay with normal speed games, or you didn't notice you should have played faster.

Thank you, I'm sure that's it. I hadn't played Rummy in a very long time so fast speed isn't a good option for me. I'll have to check the settings.
