I have had to leave a few games before they finished I get that Rep penalty however my computer froze up the other day and it was out of my control, how can I get my rep up to a level where I can at least message people. I love this website and I want to be able to communicate to my friends.

You gain back 1 of reputation for each game you finish while not being out of time.

When i check your profile I see "6 leave and 11 out of time (On 20 recent games)" with a total of 25 games, which is absolutely atrocious.

When you leave a game, you annoy all the others players on the table. If you are playing with friends, you can put your table in 'training mode' to not lose reputaion if someone leave. If you are playing with random people, you annoy all others people on the table since they were playing a game but can't finish it normally since you leaved it.

If it's really a problem which happen once, just play some games, you will regain your reputation slowly.
If it's not, then your reputation will stay around 0 to show to everyone else that you often leave your games.

Maybe stay away from real-time games unless you are confident you can finish what you start.
