A proposal to change the points awarded

I have now played a couple of 2-player matches, and both players were awarded 0 points because there was a draw but according to https://www.turingmachine.info/ we both beat the machine.
Shouldn't this be a case to let us both have positive points?

No, because it's competition between players, not against the "machine".

However, the player with lower Elo should have gained and the one with higher Elo should have lost Elo (unless it was already 100 or less).

Strangly, it's not the case of the game: both players are tied and win and lose no elo.
I didn't reported it since I'm unsure if it's a bug or something done in purpose.

I don't get why the player with a higher Elo should be penalised (thereby losing points) if they could not have done any better and they were not bested by the other player.

Because losing Elo is not a penalty, it's an adjustment. If two players tie, it means their skills are similar, so their Elos are adjusted to be a little more equal.

It's a bug and I already reported it
