Nice game, with the early 4qic actions.

But still into the provisional elite :D .

Replays of some other games can be helpful. Can I suggest playing against the Automa rather than the Automalein? You'll probably get more power charging and places to build cheap trading stations. As you might have seen, there's been some discussion about playing at different levels.

Yes, I believe both of those are true. I think the extra power charge especially can make a big difference in kick-starting your engine.

Another difference is that the automa can go up totally different tech tracks ... So yes, a higher difficulty offers more competition in general, but that might be in other places (planets/tech tracks).
Thanks for the very useful explanations. Some of the solo challenges have had their highest scores achieved playing against the higher levels.

After watching a replay of my earlier game, I noticed it would be easy to score some extra points using the 3QIC action in the final round. The first 5 rounds are identical, although there is probably some room for improvement there as well.

RL+2m opening, 3 feds. Focussed Eco first but then Nav to grab the advanced tech tile there. In round 5, I built 6 mines on Gaia planets for 60VP in tech and round bonusses. In the last round, up to Sci4 to grab the advanced tech there (22VP) and get up to Gaia5 (15VP).

WEnt eco + science, then nav + AI.
got 3 feds, scored heavily on gaia round and trade post round.
Definitely have room for improvement as at the end had quite a few resources
updated the score by a bit, used resources a bit more efficiently and got 11 points more.

Thanks for posting the three new games. Score lists updated, with two scores of 220 now making a top six in the elite.

Everyone, I hope the games you play give you smiles this weekend.

I only learned this game last week so I'm very new! I've played a few times and finally won against the Automa. I know there's lots of ways I can refine my game.

Katerpillaer 138 v. Automa 132.

I went up Economy and Terraforming to the top, and I found AI useful right at the end to grab extra mines to colonise tiles. I think I should make my federations more widely spaced to be able to compete in the most satellites race.

Economy > Navigation > Digging
The automa snatched the advanced science Tile over Navigation before I could. With it It could have been a bit more points maybe.

Went eco-> gaia -> nav -> AI
Got advanced tech from nav (3 points for a mine) and scored a lot during gaia round.
At the end 3 feds + 40 pts for science.
Oddly enough with ultoma it was a bit easier to score more than with automa as this time i was able to get an advanced tech tile from nav whereas automa gave me no chance to do the same.

Welcome to Gaia Project, which is a great game with an excellent implementation on BGA. Congratulations on your win.

This challenge is a good example of how sometimes playing at a higher level can help a player score more highly.

First focused on Economy, and some Navigation. And then Science, and Terraforming near the end.
Never played Firaks before. Actually they are quite powerful!
