What do you think would be the best possible deck if you got to hand select every card?

I'm thinking

4x skeleton
3x teenager
4x necromancer
2x vampire

maybe lose a teenager and a necromancer for 2x UFO to dig for more skeletons and spiders

It's also possible it's just 10x whatever and 3x hologram

8 Skeletons
3 AIs
4 UFOs
4 Teenagers
4 Necromancers
3 Vampires

And yes this is technically possible to get this deck, I leave the puzzle of how to you.
It is still not unbeatable as just one or two holograms destroy it

Yeah I left the possibility for UFOs to dig for extra cards.

if you want to try for an extra B card then you need to put rescue pod in your deck

so the hypothetical is about which cards you select during the deck phase, I guess your deck is more like

4x Rescue pod
4x UFO
2x necromancer
3x vampire

and then on top of the extreme luck of getting to draft those cards, you require hitting every rescue pod perfectly, and then re-getting some discarded rescue pods with UFOs and also hitting those perfectly, as well as hitting all the other UFO hits perfectly

So I don't think this deck would beat the previous Halloween deck, and you already mentioned it wouldn't beat the 3x hologram deck.

I've been thinking about this topic as well, ignoring the potential to get whatever cards you like from Rescue Pods and UFOs. That's too much mental gymnastics for my liking. Halloween deck seems like the obvious candidate for most powerful since Teenager/Necromancer/Vampire is a potent combination indeed.

How about this one?

3x Newcomer
3x Make Up Artist
3x Movie Star
3x Ghost
3x Clairvoyant
2x T-Rex

The Clairvoyants are there to help optimise the deck order by getting the MUA's out first.
Not sure on the right balance. 2x Ghost/4x Clairvoyant may be better.

Replacing Ghosts with Necromancers and T-Rexes with Vampires may be a better play.

I agree the extreme possibility of pods and UFOs shouldn't be considered for this hypothetical.

That is probably the best possible Make Up deck.

But it's still a make up deck

It's also gets particularly wrecked by Hologram. Maybe Vacuum is better than TRex?

To me it still seems like the Halloween deck would beat it more times than not.
