Board Game Arena

Anyone facing this issue ? I haven't been able to play for more than a week since all my Arena queue turned into Friendly mode match (and people quit half way)

Submitted as Bug also but no reply at all so far

I am having the same issue and cannot find an answer ANYwhere :-/
Anyone knows what to do??

Looking at your game history it seems neither of you two is actually playing arena games. Instead, you're joining so-called "regular" games with the setting "Even more cards - Included". The even more cards are a whole bunch of new cards that were recently implemented and are still being worked on. These cards being early in development are in their alpha phase, and any alpha game / variant must be played in friendly mode.

If you don't want to play friendly mode, make sure to join games without these "even more cards" included.

So the arena system doesn't actually have a clear setting on "even more cards" - either included or excluded seem to be allowed when you queue. Just for curiosity's sake i tried to make "excluded" be something i could not join. It took a little bit of time but i did find a game in the arena queue with this setting, it just wasn't an arena game . This seems like a bug and something that should be fixed fairly soon.

PSA: Turn off matching with the setting "Even more cards - included" if you queue arena and don't want to get matched into a friendly game.
