Why doesn't this site offer a wider choice of Premium Memberships?

What do you want as other premium membership choices?
One offer is easy to understand

I'm suggesting something like this:
Six Months Membership
5 Premium Games Membership,
7 Premium Games Membership,
10 Premium Games Membership.

Presumably because it would add to the complexity of the offer (a bad thing for both the company and many consumers) and the people making the decision doubt it would offer sufficient financial compensation to off-set that negative.

I wonder how many players are renewing their Membership due to the price hike.

While that is a 50% increase it is a crazy small amount for entertainment. $ 0.03 a day is rather insignificant. I would be surprised if that makes a very noticeable drop in membership. One less burger from a fast food place every 3 months in exchange for nice online gaming is more than fair. If they changed to $10/mo I would expect it to affect their membership. But under $5 is probably not even going to register for many people as even being a change.

Pssst! Don't tell BGA, but on an hourly basis I spend vastly more for other forms of entertainment (movies, sporting events, streaming, etc.). I'm practically stealing from them at this rate! Let's keep that between us.

I think of stuff like Xbox game pass with a monthly cost much higher that gets much less of my playtime and with a more limited pool of games (and shockingly even a lower pool of online players to play with). For entertainment, this is nothing of a cost. Sure video games have more development cost and a much higher cost for me just to even have a console… But I have had more quality play on BGA than I have there.

My previous post was tongue in cheek, but I'll be more serious here. I can anticipate people saying I'm comparing apples and oranges (which, for some reason, cannot be compared by convention). I don't think the development cost matters as much as what it is worth to the consumer. So let's say a movie provides 10 units worth of Fun Value (FV) per hour, and BGA is rubbish and only provides 1 unit worth of FV per hour. If I spend $15 for a 2-hour movie, I've paid $0.75 per FV unit. At $5 per month, I should be satisfied to only get to play BGA for 6 hours 40 minutes per month to get the same value, assuming I'm only getting 1/10 FV per hour of enjoyment compared to what I get out of a movie. But 1) BGA doesn't cap the number hours per month you can play, and 2) personally, the fun I get out of BGA is much closer to what I get out of a movie than 10 to 1. How much fun you get out of BGA is subjective, so maybe it's not worth it to everyone, but it certainly is to me.
