How to keep translators motivated?

While the point system is good in the beginning, past a certain point it approaches futility.
I mean, my translations have awarded me so many gift points I now have premium membership for the next 12 years.
Since I can't use the gift points for anything else, my motivation for doing more translations is pretty low.

If I could give some of my points to friends, at least the points would be used for something.
I found this suggestion, perhaps you'd like to vote for it too?

Giving out points can be abused easily, like collecting points from first wins or referrals and then transferring them, so it won't be accepted.

What about just points from translations?

Maybe, or points from tutorials too. But currently BGA does not track point sources.

I Understand Your frustration, but I see it in other way. I pay for the premium and do the translation on the side. I don't do it for the points. I have the problem that all of my translations are altered by point-scanvagers who alter the translation wrongly or only because they only alter the accent from portuguese to brazilian.

In conclusion, I see this in other way, I think the point system should be altered to prevent this type of behavor. Mayby, downgrading the points for translations.

Thx a lot for all your translations.
Keep it voluntary.

Don't do it to get the points. If you are tired to do it, just have a break.
Or just do it for the games you love.

There is no endless quest you have to achieve. This should stay a shared community work.
