Checking the clearing

I encountered the following situation. During my draw of the tree, there were 10 cards in the clearing and they were instantly discarded, although my turn was not over yet and I could take two cards as a bonus. The rules say the following:

Checking the Clearing
At the end of your turn, if there are 10 or more cards in the clearing, the clearing must be emptied. Birch
Remove all cards from the clearing and return them to the game box.
Then your turn ends, and the next player clockwise takes their turn unless an effect or bonus allows you to take another turn.

Thus, the rules emphasize that cards are discarded only at the end of the turn if there are 10 or more. In my opinion, this is a bug on the BGA.

I think you're right, because the rules saw that when you draw cards,

> B) Play a Card and Check the Clearing
> Pay the card’s cost, place it in your forest, and perform its effect and bonus, if any.
> Then check if the clearing needs to be emptied.

However, this forum is not the best place to report bugs. You need to post it as a bug in the bugs/features section. You could link the bug here after you post it there.

The OP may misunderstand the bonus effect from the played card. When you draw cards as a bonus they always come from the top of the deck. While the animation of emptying the clearing does play ahead of any cards drawn as a bonus effect, there is no gameplay interaction here that will ever matter.
