As more and more player find their way to Juliet, I have decided to create this topic to gather some updates and useful info about the game.
But first things first, if you have not found your way yet, here is it:
Game page:
https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?ga ... aytojuliet
Access group:
https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=14826922
If you are not a BGA reviewer please join the access group first.
Release process:
In general, if there are no urgent issues, and there are some changes that are ready to be released, the
release will be processed on
Mondays.
There are big chance that the game started before release can have unexpected behaviour.
In this case, please try page hard refresh (
Ctr+F5)/(
Command+Option+R) or manually clear cash files.
If your game not loading and you don't know how to leave the page here is some advice:
1) Go to loading the game page and copy the table ID from the page URL (numbers after 'table=' )
2) Open
https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=XXXXXXX Where
XXXXXXX is your ID from step 1
3) Click 'Quit game'
P.S. If someone knows how to navigate to the table lobby without opening the running game, please write it.

The second week of the alpha testing continues, and first of all,
I want to say thank you to everyone for participating in alpha testing and reviewing processes!
This means a lot to me!
And now back to the latest changes:
Release Notes (9 Oct 2023)
- Fixed game progress calculation
- Added tooltip to end line (hearts line)
- Improve log readability: replaced read description with an image (text still present in a tooltip), replaced text name of a row, a column with numbers

P.S. I tried my best to make these changes compatible with already started games, but still, there is a change of unexpected behavior.

You and your partner already understands each other without a word? Then advance mode is what you are looking for
Advance mode adds the next limitations:
- 100 moves limitation (times limit analogue) - you starts with scores 100 points each move remove 1 score, when your score drops to 0 you lose, when you win you will receive additional 100 point (to have better score then regular mode, so advance mode wining scoring is (101-200) points depend on how much moves you made)
- Forbidden opposite to previous player moves (you can not undo previous move / move against the previous move marker)
- 5 simultaneously crossed marks allowed - to keep the memory component of the game you are allowed to store only 5 crosses between the moves, if you reach the limit you can unmark the less risky type to mark another one.

A new Dash feature is available! This game option speeds up the game and adds more move options.
Release Notes (27 Oct 2023)
[*] Added Dash option (with statistics)
[*] Added Turns limit option (100, 75, 50) for advanced mode
[*] Fixed advance mode defeat BGA result
[*] Fixed game end for translated languages
Dash:
After Romeo enters the field (leave the initial line), you may use dashes. This allows you to move a card on two spaces, but only in the same direction. Be careful! Romeo can be captured not only at the end of the dash but in the middle as well. While dashes are a great option for advanced mode they aren't recommended for first games, as your partner's moves will be less predictable.

There is an error in the rules :
Page 3 : "Place balconies, guards, and column cards according to the field setup (page 6)"
However, the setup is page 7 and not 6.
