Need a "skip rolling when no move is possible" function

Post by KeithLangley »

The game already plays slowly, but when one player has a piece on the bar facing a fully closed entry board, it seems like that would be an easy condition to test for and skip that player's roll, speeding up the game during those periods at least.

That’s how it functions now, doesn’t it? I don’t recall having to acknowledge any non moves.

BUt it still rolls the dice, then thinks about it to realize no move is possible, then passes turn. It shouldn't even roll when all six entry points are covered, it wastes time.

It's part of the game, the interface still needs to explain to the player there are no possible moves. This is how it does it.
