I like Backgammon. I don't like this particular adaptation. It's slow, errors a lot, and frankly, it's not very pretty to the eye. Maybe try another vendor.

Almost all games here are made by volunteers.

There is a new backgammon game in the works, though, with both visual and gameplay upgrades (doubling cube for instance).

It is currently in alpha testing, but will hopefully be out before too long.

That's great. Can you please make the doubling cube optional? It seems to make people drop out more easily. As a paid member, I'd like to have the option to exclude that from my games.

You can simply set the match length to 1 (as it is now) then there is no cube.

In general, to join the Reviewers Group (what they call alpha/beta testers) on BGA, I believe you need to meet the following requirements:
-Account active at least 5 months
-750 total games played
-50 different games played
-100% karma rating
-able to communicate in English

Then you can request access to the Reviewers Group where you can test and help find bugs in any alpha or beta games.

Thanks for the info. I'm relatively new, so I don't know if I qualify. That comment was mostly tongue in cheek, because I'm in agreement with the OP that the backgammon can be improved. Does anyone have an ETA on when the new version will be available?

The developer said it's just waiting on BGA merging it with the current game, they are behind I think due to so many

Doubling cube would be great. I hope it incorporates gammons and backgammons
