Just checking, but who appreciates to have the new expansion enforced in the new season without any prior proper notice?

Qui apprécie le fait d'avoir forcer la nouvelle option "expansion" sans avoir préalablement prévenu que cela allait devenir obligatoire pour cette nouvelle saison ?

Gurus have been asked to vote the pull and that was the most voted option. That's how Arena works on BGA, for all games. Maybe for next season they'll vote to disable it !

Thank you Thoun, but still a major change like this should be well notified to ALL players, not only a group of unknown "Gurus". Usually Gurus are known in a forum... Maybe I haven't found the feature to check who is considered a game guru.

Dans le mode Arène, si tu cliques sur le petit engrenage au début d'une nouvelle saison, tu peux voir quelles options ont été votées pour celle ci. Dans le cas de Sea, Salt & Paper, tu peux voir que "Extension Extra Salt" est Activé. C'est comme ça que les joueurs sont notifiés de la meta de la saison.

Et il y a aussi un tableau expliquant les changement d'Arène, dans ton flux d'actualité (sur la page d'accueil), pour chaque jeu que tu joue en Arène.

I don't have a problem with the expansion, but I'm not a fan of it for tournament play.

The Seahorse is just so overpowered. I don't think the expansion should be included in the next tournament.

There is a guru vote to revert to the base game for next season, but I'm not optimistic because the general attitude people have is that expansions are always better. Within 2 microseconds of a game being released on here people are asking about when its expansions will be added.
