I assume because that is how the gurus voted at the end of last session. That's how most arena settings are chosen.

Then don't play 3-players. Nobody forces you to play Arena.

But we WANT to play Arena. Arena is great. Just not with 3 player. Why can't we choose in our own setting what no. of players we want in our Arena games? It is absurd...
