Bug or feature: Some Games are only available in German

Hi
i am very new here so i would like to ask a question not knowing if it is a bug or some kind of licensing/configuration issue.
I tried a few word games here like Hardback, Just One, Decrypto or Concept.
In each of them i could only select German as a language. All other languages are greyed out and can not be selected. That is very unfortunate as i would like to play with hungarian friends now and then.
Interestingly enough the game Perfect Words for example allows me to select english or french.
Is this a known issue? Is there something i can do to "fix" that?`

That's not a bug, that's a feature. These are called language dependent game and as such are not translatable using the usual BGA translation module.

Thank you for the fast response!
Then perhaps a follow up question: Is there a way to play the games in a different language as in german? i tried to change my user language to english and it did not seem to work (at least not instantly).
I mean there are people playing the games in english so it should be possible somehow (i hope).

But if you set your language preferences to say you speak both German and English, are you not able to choose English for these games?

That's how it works.
You can add multiple languages to your account (
https://boardgamearena.com/preferences?section=lang), and only this language will be offered as an option for games that require a specific language.
If there isn't a language pack that matches your settings, it will prevent you from playing that kind of game.

After the change in settings and log out and log in it works.
