Several technical issues have arisen in recent weeks, which may have prevented you from playing as usual. This may have hampered your gaming experience on boardgamearena.

This was to be expected given that we have improved many low-level layers of the BGA platform... And, indeed, it introduces some unexpected effects that you may have directly encountered, such as temporary game server unavailability or extremely long latency during peak hours. It gives lot of work and challenge to p1ngouiin, until very late in the evening : Thank you for that!

As a player, I know that even if all penalties associated with such technical issues were removed, it would cause some frustration and disappointment.
I'm pleased to report that the majority of our server upgrade is complete. It performs even better than it did previously.

Although we are still keeping a close eye on the servers, they can now recover swiftly from overload or unforeseen conditions.
There are still some improvements that need to be made, but they should have less of an impact on your gaming experience... unless we fall for trickery from some lurking monsters.

I'm still suffering a lot of delays in playing. Is it improved?

To me, the service appears to be getting worse with every passing week. When I first joined a couple of years ago I really don't remember any issues but now it is constant delays and has been for months.

I agree with the person above me. It seems like everyday they site is unusable for certain periods of time.

Completely agree. I get more "sending move to server" messages now than ever. The servers continuously lag as well. Playing games that require fast moves have become impossible to play. (Solo / Spot it as examples)

Has there been any thought of adding an 11th server?
