Championship mode in tournaments

I'm sure the answer is lying around the forums somewhere, but I couldn't find it. When creating a tournament for Heat I see an option for "Championship", does this enable the "Championship System" for games in a tournament? Or is it placeholder for now?
On that note, I tried creating my own test tournament but I get an error saying "Alpha options can only be played in Friendly mode". Not sure how to set a tournament to friendly mode.

That's just a global bga bug displaying options that shouldnt be displayed at all. So no, championship are only playable in a separated alpha project

Ah ok. Thanks for the info. Can't wait for the Championship System to release
