Carcassonne does not work in Chrome

I can't play carcassonne from Google Chrome like I always have, it works very very very slow

other games like catan or ticket to ride work perfectly
I have verified that carcassonne works well from Firefox

Can someone tell me what could be the problem so that it doesn't work well from Google Chrome?

Be sure to turn on hardware acceleration in Chrome settings. Many games won't render properly without it.

I have the same problem, since one week. The Chrome hardware accelerator has always been on. Other solutions?

Chrome hardware acceleration has bugs, most infamously the pixel noise which makes some games unplayable since cards end up looking like random garbage. I always advise keeping hardware acceleration off.

Unfortunately I don't know what else in Chrome could be making the game slow.

i am also having this issue in Chrome, for the last week or so. Even on turn-based Carcassone games, everything moves so slowly. I am not having this issue with other games on this site, just Carcassonne as far as I can tell.

Same issue here, just in the last week or so. No other games exhibit this issue. Interestingly, I don't see this problem in Chrome on MacOS.

No sure if it was the same issue but I frequently got stuck in "loading game art (92%)" for so long, even after refreshing the browser so many times, and eventually expelled by the opponent. Hope BGA can fix that issue ASAP. (I use the latest version of Google Chrome on MacOS Sonoma)
