It's hilarious that they consider some names worthy of interfering, and changing, and yet they aren't so bad that they can't still show the old username on your profile.

I think there is a big difference if everyone sees the name basically everywhere (in the forum, on game tables, in the lobby, ...) or if you have to open the profile and look at the history to find the old name. So I can understand why they just change a name they consider inappropriate and don't bother with the old name appearing on the profile.
