O.K., so player ThreeTrees was stupid and forgot about their End Game Bonus Card (Doublers End Bonus Card). What's worse, another player was not stupid, took the "Virtual Engineer End Bonus Card" on their penultimate move, and thus snatched away the Engineer Majority (with the tiebreaker). But why does the game log say "ThreeTrees gains an additional engineer from Virtual Engineer End Bonus Card" ?

Sorry, looks like this is probably the same as a bug that was reported:
