Hello,

So we're playing a 2 vs 2 game and we're curious. Is victory just one player losing their home world or do both players on a team need to lose their homeworld.

According to the Scenario Book, linked under "Game Rules", any multi-player game (other than when choosing rules for a "short" or "long" game) should end when a player eliminates the Home World of any opponent:

Victory Conditions Multi-Player: Victory in multi-player games,
unless stated otherwise below, is to destroy one opponent’s home
world. When any player destroys any other player’s home world,
he becomes the victor.

The 4-Player Team Play has nothing more specific on that subject, except that teammates win or lose together, so taking out a single Home World appears to be the win condition for either team.

I'd be curious to hear if that held up in your actual game on BGA.
