Heraklejski 208 vs Ultoma 161 - https://boardgamearena.com/1/gaiaprojec ... =447198236

It was my second try.
PI in the first round and Economy 2.
Continued Economy at second round and than Navigation, Terraforming and Ai at the end.

kespie 227 - 119 Automa - https://boardgamearena.com/4/gaiaprojec ... =447160414 - Ac opening, up eco, 3k adv tech, then up terra/AI/nav

Interesting that another high score also involved the 3k advanced tech - actually don't think it's worth it in the end.

Took me quite a number of tries to get the opening sequence acceptable haha

First post on BGA! Not bad for a first try, I may optimize for a non-PI opening, maybe see what I can do with Gaia formers, but seems difficult on this seed.
PI Start into Terraform and Nav, went for both advanced tiles and shot up AI last minute for green points, missed between 6-12 points on mistakes, I think I could make up a bit more with some optimizations.

Yes, a very good score for your first attempt and first post. Thank you for contributing.

That's a fascinating game. It's hard to win the buildings in feds when the automa builds all 18 and has 17 counting as in feds! Passive charging cost you a lot (-28 VP) but it's still an excellent score.

An interesting decision to sacrifice 3k by building on the gaia planet before your PI was built. Well done, as ever, on a very good score.

Yes, a respectable score - and thank you for taking part in the challenge.

Jonash87cz 192 Siltoma 136. (first try)

PI R1 (of course), a whole play without left academy. Eco II > Terra IV > Nav IV and then the rest, if my memory is good.

44 VP from tracks, 2 advanced techs, 3 nature feds. In one round, I had to convert 4 QICs to 4 ore. That was crazy. :D

Nigator 219 vs Alptrauma 215
https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=449776002
started with academy + mine eco 2 nav 1. In second round research nav 2 built ts and took last orange planet. PI in third round + terra 4. scored 16 vp from mines tech and 25 from fed tech.

bk_marvel 190; Automa 115 - https://boardgamearena.com/7/gaiaprojec ... =450576135

Still getting used to Geodens, but much happier with this effort.

PI round 1, focused on Economy and Terraforming, then Navigation. Probably the most points I've ever gotten from QIC actions, which I just really underuse I think generally.

Thanks agin for the contest set-up!

Just saw this today. Submitting my score here. 165 -118 on normal difficulty. https://boardgamearena.com/4/gaiaprojec ... =450994072
As normal, started with PI + 4 mines, which helped me get 2 moves up the tech track round 1. focused on navigation and economy for tech tracks.

jgpaladin 199 - Automa 115

Waited a few rounds before I went PI to invest in income. Also meant I could wait on terraforming investment.

Smart game! And great to see one against the Alptrauma.

:o But sometimes it helps score major points and maintain momentum.

Do you find it's easier for some factions than others? But if the automa is kind and doesn't cover them, the qic actions can be a good source of points - and resources, if one gets the 3qic action.
