Hi,
Just wanted to say thanks for some of the considerations you've taken in the BGA adaptation for us colour-blind folk.
I wondered if there were a couple of things you might tweak to help a bit further (I'm still losing a lot of time on my play-clock squinting at tiny envelopes to try to determine the meaning).
- At the start of the game, maybe add the animal symbol next to the starting spot for each coach? (so a duck symbol in the Northwest)? I end up choosing the duck just because it's only one that I know....
- What determines the layout order of the 6 colours in the user interface (dice roll box, envelopes in player box)? It seems to go South, Texas, MidWest, North-West, North-East, South-West... I'm sure there must be a logic, but I can't see it.... Could they not be ordered in a way that makes sense? E.g. NW, MW, NE, S, T, SW (clockwise from NW)
- Appreciate the use of the symbols to aid us colour blind types, but you seem to have chosen ones that are the opposite to the locations. e.g. NorthWest has a symbol that points to SouthEast and South has a symbol that points to NorthWest?! I know that you're using that "standard" that was released recently, but nobody actually knows/wants to have to learn that.... Could you not just have arrows pointing to the appropriate corners for NW, NE, S(E) and SW? Then keep Texas with the slash and move the dot to MidWest (kinda means "mid")?
- Could the symbols be a bit larger on the envelopes? Really have to squint at them right now.
Really liking the game and the theming though!
Thanks for your consideration
