A tip for folks playing real-time games (give yourself an extra minute)

if you build your engine well, you are going to have 2 or 3 long turns, and if you're like me, hearing the clock tick to say "TIME'S UP!!!" can be really distracting. So for EoC, I highly recommend real-time games set for "Slow Real Time" to get an extra minute, esp. if you are not a pro at this game about "amateurs"

You can also accumulate time from earlier turns, banking unused time up to a limit. If you have some simple turns early on, take advantage of them to have moie time foi a bigger turn.

Of course, choosing the turn time that best suits you when creating/joining the game is the best choice, as you said.
