I just lost karma points, I was waiting for him to play, it glitched, next thing he has quit, moved all my tiles on Azul and I take the hit. I can’t protest this it seems

If you time out in 10% of your games, I would want to know it before starting the play.
The karma system here just really punishes you for having multiple misconducts, loosing 10 karma for leaving a game once will generally have no impact if that’s a one time thing

I dunno, personally I think people who repeatedly quit games or disappear in the middle aren't especially great. If you can't commit to real-time games, don't sign up for them.

No you can't, because it's pretty much impossible to prove. It pretty much happens to everyone at some point. One hit of 10% karma does almost nothing to your rep, you can still join any game you want (even I think a second at 20% still leaves you in a pretty good position, just takes a little longer to recover). Just keep playing and finish your games and you'll be back to 100% before long.

The only point horrible is that recovering karma is 1pt/finished game, it doesn't really makes sense when a 1 hour game gave the same amount than a 5 minutes one

My issue with the current system is that in leaves it up to the players to enforce the rules.
If a player goes over their time limit there is no penalty unless they get ejected from the game. If the game is nearing the end and I'd rather finish it than kick the player who has started dragging their feet at the end, the system treats it as okay behaviour by the player who purposely is taking longer once they see they cannot win.
The Karma hit should happen as soon as a player runs out of time. they agreed to play a game at this speed and have failed to meet that commitment. The players should just have the option to continue playing with the slow player or not, they should not have the choice of inflicting a penalty.

This is right, but on the other hand, if you quit in the middle of a 1-hour game, it will be far more annoying for the other players.
If you leave a 5-minute game, they will just start another one and move on.
