For objectives in solo mode where you have to have a certain number of items at the end of the game, is this scored before or after assigning objects to dogs? For example, if I am playing in intermediate mode and have one of each object but I have a Ball Hog, all of the balls automatically get assigned to that dog. Do I still fulfill the win requirement?

You can collect a maximum of 6 items for a dog. If the task requires 1 item. You need 6 balls for the dog + 1 ball for the task. Then it will count.
