Ticket to ride is a very good game
Also have the app
Sadly the bots are missing from this BGA ADAPTATION WHICH IS AVAILABLE OF THE ACTUAL TICKET TO RIDE
Because of no BOTS any games played with fewer than four players you can’t use the double tracks option
This is not a bug but a shortfall in the game on BGA
Also sadly very few of the games on BGA don’t have a solo mode so one can actually play the games and learn before playing against opponents
Only if you are lucky to have two separate appliances Eg an IPad and another players registered iPad, computer or phone can you play by yourself on the two appliances

If you only have one device you can try the Hotseat feature.
BGA doesn't want bots, as there are thousands of players waiting to play, you can easily find tables for 4 or 5 players. If you really want bots, the app is here for you

Learning games before playing against opponents? That's what tutorials are made for and you can find one for nearly every game on BGA:

I also wish bots were available. Sometimes I want to play a game on my own instead of with others. I believe this is not possible with most games. If bots were available, I would definitely use them.
There are also some games that I would like to gain expertise in, but feel uncomfortable playing with others until I know the game better (e.g., stone age). I think the game has changed over the past few years, since I played it more frequently. If a bot were available, I would gain expertise playing the bot first.

See above solution re Hotseat. You simply set up the game for 2 people and choose Hotseat as the second opponent. Give yourself another name and off you go. It's a brilliant solution as I, too, don't always feel comfortable playing a new game with others until I know what I'm doing.

If by "bot" people are talking about an actual AI player, as opposed to "Automa" rules and the like that get published with some games, this is an incredibly complex thing to pull off well.
It's not like you just put:
import genericbot
at the beginning of your code and can call genericbot.gaiaproject() at will.
